The story of the case

We are the Cawiscase team, two childhood friends from Europe, Misi (Mike) and Janos (John). We were classmates at elementary and high school. At high school we studied aircraft mechanics, after which Mike chose the engineering career, while John chose the IT sector. We have always had joint projects with which we wanted to make everyday things a little easier.
The idea for our cawiscase project comes from an accidental situation. In our families we record every event that is important for us in pictures and videos. At one such event, John’s younger brother mishandled the phone and unfortunately dropped it, damaging the phone. Then we chatted on a barbecue party where this case was discussed and we started thinking about how to make the use of the phone safer while taking photos and videos. We wanted to find a solution that does not require you to keep an extra device with you (such as a selfie stick or gimbal), but still results in a steady phone hold. That’s how we came up with the idea that since we all use a case for our phone, how about integrating a handle into it, thus ensuring a steady hold. Thanks to a lot of thinking and Misi’s engineering knowledge, we managed to come up with a solution that allows us to take videos and photos while holding the phone safely in all conditions. Thus, our prototype was put under test on a water slide and on a sand desert tour in a car, keeping the phone safely steady while we were off-roading on the dunes or sliding down the water slide. We were absolutely satisfied with the results.
